Collaboration between KNRTU-KAI, SSAU and MAI took place in the frame of R&D work held for AeroComposit CJSC. The aim of the work was to design the structure and develop a technology for integral spoiler manufacturing.
The work was divided between the universities the following way: MAI – structure design; SSAU – preliminary strength calculation, manufacturing of racks, strength testing; Center of Composite Technology of KNRTU-KAI – development of manufacturing technology, correction of spoiler structure subject to manufacturing technology, design and manufacturing of tooling, manufacturing of pilot batch of the spoilers.
In the process of the work held in the Center of Composite Technology structure and technology for manufacturing spoiler with composite rack are developed. Rack is integrated into the structure of the spoiler for enhancement of strength and processing properties as well as weight reduction.
