Application of silicone bags for molding-on
In the process of manufacturing large batch of composite parts using reusable silicone bags provides a significant advantage. First of all, the amount of consumables is cut, because there is no need for using vacuum film and sealing tape. Secondly, moulding-on process preparation time is reduced. Quality of preforms is also improved due to the absence of bends and strains of silicone bag, which would be inevitable when using vacuum film.
Reusable vacuum bags are produced from sheet silicone by vulcanization or sprayed from liquid silicone.
